Last week we read the story, When Autumn Comes. The vocabulary words from this story included: Autumn, Preparation, Harvested & Ripened.  In Jolly Phonics we studied the sounds d & g.  Our new popcorn words were: run & at.  We are now working on Poetry as well.  Our first poem was Apples, Apples.  We learned the words & song, counted how many words were in each line and learned how to tell where a word starts and ends.  The students also illustrated the poem.  In math we continued printing numbers with The Numeral Song, and are now writing numbers up to 10.  The students are also working in centers to order numbers 1-10, compare numbers 1-10, count objects to 10, and write numbers 1-10.  Progress reports were sent home last Friday.  Please sign and return the report as soon as possible.  Hope you had a great 3 day weekend!                                                          Peek At Next Week
