Last week we read the story Stellaluna and introduced the words curious, swooped, grasped & anxious.  We also sequenced the events of the story.  Our new popcorn words were: did & not.  In Jolly Phonics we learned the sounds for the letters b & j.  The letter we worked on in handwriting was letter Cc. In math we have been ordering and comparing numbers to 10.  Some of the lessons included finding 1 & 2 more and 1 & 2 less.  We ended the week with a costume parade and classroom party. Thank you to all of the parents who took the time to come to the parade and party and to those that planned and donated items for the party.  The students had a great time!  I also enjoyed meeting with each of you for parent teacher conferences!                                     A Peek At Next Week

Reminders: Remember to check and empty green folders every night.  Book-It reading calendars have been sent home.  Each day that you read with your child, he/she should color the pumpkin.  Calendars will be due at the end of the month.  This program will run through March.
