This week we read the story, Friends at School. The vocabulary words that came from this story were:enjoy, gooey, container & scrumptious.  The new popcorn words this week were in & see and in Jolly Phonics we learned the sounds for c,k & e.  In handwriting we have been focusing on printing numbers 1-5 & the letter L l. Please help your child practice printing his/her first name and the numbers 1-5 in fun ways at home.  During Daily Five reading centers, the students have been engaged in read to self, listen to reading (computers & listening center) and worked with Ms. Lori and myself in small groups. During math time we do calendar each day and have been working on understanding the concept of more, fewer and same.  We are also determining "how many more?" or "how many fewer" when comparing objects up to 5.  The students also completed their MAPS testing this week on the computer and the magazine drive fundraiser began.  Have a great weekend!
