This week we continued to work on wondering and sequence of events in reading. The new vocabulary words the students learned through the story, Henry's Wrong Turn, were: signal, pursue, disappear, and warn. This week's popcorn words were number words: one, two & three. The word families we learned were -ap & -am. In handwriting we have finished learning all of the lowercase letters and are now reviewing and getting some extra practice. The students should be printing their first name with one capital letter and the rest lowercase. In math we are learning addition and subtraction and how they are related. We use manipulatives to see how to put together and take away. The class loves earning team paws at lunchtime, so at the beginning of this week we set a goal to try really hard to earn one this week. Well....the class earned 3! They were sooooo excited and proud! Keep up the good work!
