This week we celebrated both Valentine's Day and the 100th Day of School.  We read many stories and did fun activities for both special occasions.  Our new popcorn words were: will, have & must.  Now that we have completed all of the Jolly Phonics sounds, we are working on word families.  The first two word families that we worked with this week were -at & -an.  In handwriting we are still working on learning the lowercase letters.  In math we have been working on the concepts of addition, as putting together, and subtraction, as taking away.  It was a great week!

Reading: Students will: Use wondering to help them understand a nonfiction book, retell parts of the story,  share ideas with one another, & refer to the story to support their thinking.
