We were able to start the week with our field trip to Johansen Farms! The students had a great time! Thank you to the parents who chaperoned this trip. We began our "We're a Family" theme in Reading this week. Some of the stories we read were, Jonathan and His Mommy, and Tortillas and Lullabies. Our new popcorn word was, my. The letter sounds we worked on this week were short o & u. We've been busy making words by putting the sounds together that we have learned. In math we began our numbers unit. Students will practice one-to-one correspondence. We will also count objects and learn the proper formation of the numbers 0-10. Kailey was our Superstar this week. She did a wonderful job sharing her poster and show & tell with the class. The students enjoyed making a special book for her and listening to her Grandma read. It was another great week in Kindergarten!
